Who we are
Infravec2 is an international and interdisciplinary research project on insect vectors of human and animal disease, including mosquitoes, sandflies and other flies. Infravec2 is funded by the Horizon 2020 Research Infrastructure Program (INFRAIA) of the European Union, and is coordinated by the Institut Pasteur, Paris, France.
What we do
The Infravec2 project provides research resources and access to key infrastructures for insect vector biology at no cost to the end-user. The goal is to accelerate European research in insect vector biology research, and to develop new vector control measures targeting the greatest threats to human health and animal industries.
INFRAVEC2 Project launch: A European Commission 10M€ effort to fight mosquito-transmitted diseases
On February 14, the European Commission officially approved the Infravec2 project (http://www.infravec2.eu). This project will improve the European large-scale facilities (infrastructures) for research on mosquitoes and other insects (vectors) that carry human and...read more
