Personal data use

The Infravec2 project may collect personal data about you, especially when you request products, services or infrastructure access through the online shop or if you apply to a training course.  This information includes your name, email address, name and address of your employing organization, shipping address, country of nationality, gender, name of group leader, skills or research field, personal webpage, your curriculum vitae and information concerning your project proposal. This personal information collected to obtain a no-cost product will be exclusively used to assess your request and to provide the requested product(s). Your personal information  will be shared within the project subteam managing the orders, with experts and product providers, but with no other third parties. The name of the experts and product providers shall be communicated upon request.

User feedback data will be analysed periodically and anonymously by the webmaster for discussion with the  online shop team. All data will then be deleted from the database.

Personal information collected in order and application forms is stored in the Infravec2 website server located in Switzerland.

By submitting an order you accept that your personal information will be stored by the Infravec2 project. It is required to keep records for five years after the end of the project for the European Commission.

We may collect your email address, first name and last name if you opt-in to receive Infravec2 opportunities and update information. Your email address will be used exclusively to send you information emails, approximately 4 per year. It will not be shared with any third party. The emails are stored in the server of the MailChimp company in compliance with their data protection and privacy rules.

In compliance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have a right of access, correction and erasure of your personal data. To do that, please contact the Infravec2 webmaster. You can opt-out from the mailing list using the link at the bottom of the project emails.

Cookies

Online platforms (websites and applications) use cookies to manage their services. These cookies are needed to identify the user and provide a personalized and relevant content. The online world wide web also uses Google Analytics, the marketing analytics and measurement program. This utility uses cookies stored in the user computer or mobile phone. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US, where it is stored. Recorded anonymous data can then be transmitted by Google to third parties, provided this is legally required or third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google – and Facebook in particular – respect the provisions of the agreement “safe harbor” or “Safe Harbor” signed by the Department of US trade.
