PRE-ORDER CHECKLIST

To request an Infravec-ISIDORe product at no cost, you have to (i) search the Products catalog for the resources you need, (ii) complete a pre-application on the ISIDORe website for the appropriate product Sequencing Services & GM insects, Vector Models including experiment access & training, ScreensFieldwork site access including training, (iii) receive your ISIDORe ID by email, (iv) return to the Infravec website to save your choices in the Shopping Cart as in a classical online shop, cand (v) register as an Infravec user. Be sure to enter your ISIDORe ID in the Last Name field of your application.

NAME + ISIDORe_USER_ID

To finalise your order, you are asked to provide a brief justification for the use of the materials.

For the time being, the checkout form has to be completed in one step, it is not possible to save the form to finish later. The goal of the following checklist is to help you prepare the needed information in advance.

Two types of information are asked:

  • Personal information that is automatically filled in from your account (see “My account” in the top menu)
  • Project information to be supplied in the “Checkout form”  once you have selected the product(s) you want to order.

Personal information

If it is your first visit, please start with the creation of an account and provide all the requested information. It can be added and saved through “My Account” or included in the form. For those who have already an account, personal information will be automatically filled in in the “Checkout page”. Missing personal information may be completed at that point.

Project information

The aim of the following checklist is to help you ensure that you have all the required project information when starting to fill the checkout form.

  1. If you are amending a request, please specify the order number of the initial order and explain the changes made, or why you want to amend your request.
  2. Have you previously used this research infrastructure/product?
  3. User groups: if you submit your proposal as a user group, specify the institutions and the PIs included in the User group, and indicate who will be the Recipient institution/PI. The Applicant is the User group leader and has to be located in a different country than the product/service provider. The Recipient is the recipient of the product/service, and can be located in any country (including the provider’s country).
  4. Provide the full title and short name or acronym of your project.
  5. Select key words in a list and add free text key words.
  6. Prepare a description of your project, the technical quality and feasibility of the proposed research using the requested products. Briefly describe the technical design of the proposed research, so that the technical quality of the project can be evaluated. Please include (where appropriate) names of Principal Investigators, and description of relevant equipment and facilities at your institute. (Max 400 words).
  7. Prepare a description of the expected scientific outcomes of the research regarding new biological knowledge and innovation, new technical or translational tools, or other. High risk and exploratory projects with potential high scientific payoff are acceptable (max. 300 words).
  8. Describe how the proposed research will enhance your career and training, and/or the research capacities of your host laboratory/ institute. Interdisciplinary research is encouraged. If you have not previously worked in vector biology, please describe how the proposed experiments complement or build on your previous expertise (max 300 words).
  9. Provide a list of minimum 3 and up to 5 relevant publications from your own work or your host laboratory.
  10. You need to upload a PDF version in English of your CV (if you submit as a User-group: please include the PI and Recipient CVs in the same PDF file).
  11. Provide a PDF version in English of certificate/document in the following cases:
    • If you are requesting physical access to Infravec2 facilities at Biosafety Level 2 or 3, please provide evidence of training and authorization. If needed, you may apply for our training courses: please contact TNA Manager.
    • If you are requesting live vectors, please provide evidence of the appropriate Biosafety Level and know-how at the receiving facilities.
  12. Products ordered: Please check that the number of units ordered is consistent with your research project.
  13. Product options: Please check if there are available options on the product page(s) for your order, and specify your preferences where appropriate.

Please note that for all products, the user is responsible to assure in advance that they possess all necessary import authorizations from their home country.

The products requested from this site will require either you and/or your institution to sign either a Material Transfer Agreement, Data Sharing Agreement or Host Agreement.
