Production protocol
Wild larvae or adult mosquitoes will be collected in New Caledonia.
First option (larvae): A minimum of 100 larvae will be collected from different breeding sites within a radius of 100 m. The collection area will be determined in agreement with the user. Larvae will be morphologically identified, and either preserved as larvae or will be raised to adult in the insectary of IPNC, and then preserved.
Second option (adults): Adult collection by BG traps. A minimum of 100 adults will be collected in different traps placed within a radius of 100 m. The collection area will be determined in agreement with the user.
The samples can be stored in 70% ethanol, or dried on silica gel.
